Management may think that they cannot afford it; digital like AI Blockchain O2O IOT etc. is too far away from them; they cannot even survive tomorrow and so on. The reality is that the leaders in SME world are making great use of digital to save cost and labour, enhance productivity, optimize profit and make smart decision. DigitalInclusion is very critical for the survival of all SMEs & important to many economies as SMEs are the pillar of them.

After pioneering & co-hosting the MetroFinance FinTech Series 新城财經台 金融科技大本營, I am pleased to co-host another popular radio program “Knowledge makes bosses” on MetroInfo 新城資訊台 智識做老板 together with another popular radio star 林椒敏 . We, together with our guests, aim to bring the latest digital knowledge, tools and experience to empower SMEs to leverage on digital technologies to compete more effectively & operate more efficiently.

Why Big Data Matters for Smart City? – Interviewed by HK GS1

I shared my view in an interview conducted in GS1HK Annual IoT Conference 2019 on how IOT, AIOT, 5G and BigData work together to empower business and technology leaders and professionals with high DataQuotient or DQ so that they can lead and compete in the DigitalEconomy. In the AI Era, 30% of all current jobs will be automated by AI by 2030 according to PWC. At the same time, 30% of our workforce in leading enterprises need to be a CitizenDataScientist according to Gartner. Do you get the logic from these 2 numbers and what does it mean to you? Our view is that DQ will be as equally important as today’s IQ, EQ and major language skills, such as, English, for the success of everyone in our new workplace of Digital Economy. OpenCertHub‘s mission is to democratize data literacy to the mass and transform the current workforce to be citizen data scientists, data engineers, data scientists and more in open source environment.
