Our DaLa – Data Literacy Association (DaLa) has organized an event featuring renowned speakers who will share their expertise in utilizing data for business success in the GBA. The event is scheduled to occur on January 26, 2024, during the afternoon, at the Community Lab of HKSTP in Causeway Bay.
I will be moderating the first panel, which will focus on unlocking business value from cross-boundary data. Our esteemed speakers include Jerry Ying from Transunion (cross-boundary FinancialServices), Joe Lo from Kwoon Chung Bus 冠忠巴士 (cross-boundary Transportation), and Lui Tong from the Hong Kong Federation of eCommerce (cross-boundary eCommerce). They will share their practical experiences and insights on leveraging data to drive business growth and address the challenges involved.
In addition to the panel discussion, Mr. Tony Wong, JP, the Government Chief Information Officer of HKSAR Government OGCIO, and Herbert Chia, Board of Director of HKSTP, will present the new policies on cross-boundary data in the GBA. We will also have technologists and data scientists from Alibaba, Checkpoint, and Veeam who will delve into the technical aspects of cross-boundary data.
