Cyberport Career Fair 2018 was successfully held today. Over 100 companies, including our start-ups like #GoGoVan, #Klook, #HeyCoins, #Origami, etc., plus large companies like #HKMA, #DBS, #BEA, #MoneySQ, #PCCW, plus #HKIB, Cyberport Startup Alumni Association, etc. , offered over 600 full-time and part-time jobs, and internship opportunities there. Jobs ranged from information technology, engineering, marketing, finance to legal support.

40+ career talks ranging from corporate introduction, startups journey, FinTech, AI, eSports to ICO opportunities, were delivered today. Over a few thousand students and young professionals joined our career fair today. I would like to thank all participating companies, students, Cyberport teammates and helpers.

Hong Kong is now heading to a Innovation and Technology era with lots of support from our government, IT industry, business sectors and universities. Let’s keep it going and create a better future for our next generation in Hong Kong.

Bank promises life-like experience with artificial intelligence system

NatWest is testing an artificial intelligence-powered “digital human” called Cora that will converse with customers in branches – raising fears that bank tellers could be replaced by avatars.

Cora, described by the bank as “highly lifelike”, is the result of a link-up with a New Zealand tech company whose co-founder was involved with creating digital characters in the blockbuster films Avatar, King Kong and Spider-Man 2.
