previous experiences and success, Cyberport will hold a Cyberport Pavilion at Hall 1D-E this

HK$5,000 rental fee includes the below equipment:
1. A display poster panels – for poster size of 1100mm (H) x 700 mm (W). Coexhibitors
are responsible to design their own posters.
2. A 0.5m (W) x 0.5m (L) lockable cabinet with storage space
3. Power supply with a power socket

IMPORTANT NOTES:
1. The fee of HK$5,000 is an engagement fee which is non-refundable and nontransferrable.
The cheque will be settled upon receipt.
2. Co-exhibitors shall comply with the exhibitor manual without violating the regulations.
3. Shortlisted applicants will be invited to a booth selection session; booth allocation will
be decided by drawing lots.
4. Booth area should be well-managed with the co-exhibitor being present throughout the
exhibition period (i.e. 17-18 May), in order to fully utilize the showcase opportunities.

金融服務、貿易及物流、旅遊、專業及製造商服務是香港主要的四大傳統行業。根據香港政府統計處的資料顯示,這四個行業共佔了2017年香港生產總值(GDP)的56.6%。在過去3至5年期間,除了本地及全球傳統競爭對手之外,行業以外的挑戰者也是令到行內競爭變得越來越激烈的主要原因之一,我們會稱他們為創新者(Innovator)或顛覆者(Disruptor)。阿里巴巴、亞馬遜、騰訊、蘋果和谷歌就是很好的例子。

據多個世界知名的統計結果指出,在全球市值最高的公司中,至少有50%是數碼創新者,而這些數碼創新者基本上是利用創新和科技去解決市場痛點的科技公司。這樣看來,如果沒有創新和數碼策略,今天的大企業以致中小企業都無法保持競爭力。相比2000年的「dot-com泡沫」,相信您也能夠想像得到今天的創科颶風是多麼的巨大和真實。

2017年全球獨角獸公司分佈地圖

除了這些眾所周知的科技巨頭之外,至少還有260家初創公司有潛力像現有的科技巨頭一樣顛覆全球。我們稱這些初創企業為「獨角獸」(Unicorn),即估值超過10億美元的非上市初創公司。根據CB Insights的數據顯示,2013年內全球只有25間獨角獸,但在過去5年內,獨角獸的數量迅速增長。來自美國和中國的新創企業更佔了全球獨角獸的80%以上。

可能很多人會問「香港有獨角獸嗎?」根據資本雜誌的報導指,至現時為止,香港已有5間獨角獸,包括GoGoVan、Lalamove、商湯科技(SenseTime)、Tink Labs和WeLab。據香港投資推廣署資料顯示,2017年內香港至少有3000家創新科技初創企業。而我相信現在以香港為基地的本地、內地及國際創業公司數目已上升到超過4000家。這些初創團隊也希望運用他們的創新、智慧及努力,他日成為獨角獸的一群,為的是在未來能夠閃盡光芒。

在這樣的環境之下,大企業和中小企業不能只是靜觀其變,而是要選擇反擊! 過去幾年,我曾擔任許多本地及國際創新科技比賽和黑客松(hackathon,或譯程式設計馬拉松)的評判,發現初創企業的參賽者通常比大企業和中小企業的參賽者更具創新能力。但現在,我看到大型企業和中小企業開始更績極提升其創新能力,及己取得一定的成果。

例如在2018年香港資訊及通訊科技獎中,香港機場管理局、匯豐銀行、香港威裕環球集團及其他一些大企業和中小企業都在不同範疇中亦獲得獎項,許多企業更設立了專門發展創科方面的職位和團隊。與此同時,初創企業也採取了與大企業和中小企業合作的模式,為客戶創造更多價值及提供更好的體驗。這正是一個提升香港公司的數碼競爭力和數碼商(Digital Quotient)的正面及健康的信號。

除了初創企業和企業的努力外,我們還需要有強大的市場需求、投入資本、人才庫、創業精神和政府政策去帶動創新及科技產業的發展。讓在香港打好基礎的初創企業能擴展到更大的市場是非常重要的,無論是內地的大灣區、一帶一路的倡議和東南亞地區的經濟起飛,或是香港和周邊地區的智慧城市倡議都對創新和科技的需求大大提升,使創新及科技產業更有希望。

根據CB Insights的資料,在2017年投資在亞洲的創新及科技初創公司估計超過560億美元,比較在2016年的243億美元有更明顯增長。現時,香港特別行政區政府與數碼港、科學園、應科院、生產力促進局及其他許多機構攜手合作,推出新政策及撥款支持創新及科技產業。本地和海外大學、加速器、孵化器及共同工作空間也採取積極的態度參與香港的創新和科技行業。

The award presentation ceremony was held last night with our HKSAR CE Mrs Carrie Lam as GOH. Over 120 entrepreneurs from Cyberport community joined the ceremony. Great to see many innovations not only from start-ups but also large enterprises as well. It is a very positive and important to make innovation and technology as the fuel and soil of Hong Kong economy. Keep it going.
