Honoured to return as a pioneering organising committee member, judge, and mentor for the GS1 Hong Kong IoT Data Hackathon — now in its third year, and stronger than ever. As the President of the GS1 HK IoT Industry Advisory Council, we are so proud to have organized this impactful IoT Data Hackathon. DALA – Data & AI Literacy Association #DALA is honoured to be a supporting organization for the Hackathon since its day one.

This year, we crossed a new milestone: a record-high applications, over 130 teams, joined from universities, startups, and enterprises across Hong Kong. The energy, creativity, and purpose-driven innovation were truly inspiring. Thanks to Anna Lin, Mignone Cheng, Selena A., Ken Ng and their GS1 HK teammates, the organizing committee led by Louis Mah, all sponsors, judges, and mentors.

What excites me most this year is the introduction of 𝐚 𝐛𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐝-𝐧𝐞𝐰 𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐦: 𝐒𝐨𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐥 𝐈𝐦𝐩𝐚𝐜𝐭 & 𝐒𝐮𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐛𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐲 to empower society through responsible, inclusive, and human‑centred innovation. A big thank you to 香港社聯 #HKCSS Joyce Ho and her teammates for their tremendous support — from providing meaningful problem statements to sharing datasets and mentoring teams. Their involvement ensured that participants could work on challenges that matter to real communities.
