Celebrating Our Alumni Leaders at the 2024 EMBA Annual Conference
The CUHK EMBA Annual Conference 2024 was held today. We have invited experts to share the next engine of growth for Hong Kong. Insightful and thought-provoking ideas were brought out by our guest speakers including Professor Alan Chan, the Secretary of Commerce and Economic Development of HKSAR Government, Mr. Algerman Lau JP, Dr. Norman Chan, Nixon Chau and Queenie So.
I feel truly grateful to have reconnected with so many of my past and current students from the last 3 years in the conference. It was a joyful occasion filled with shared experiences and camaraderie. I always feel warm, fortunate and joyful whenever we have reunion with our fellow students.
I’m also deeply appreciative of the guest speakers whom have shared their experience in my prior EMBA classes. Therefore, I have invited them to join our conference and lunch today to show our respect. Speakers like Harris SUN from RaSpect, Kenny Cheng from WeLab, Chun Kai Lawrence Chau from Midland, Alan Lai from PetSpace and more joined us today. I’m thankful for their willingness to contribute to the professional development of our EMBA candidates.
One aspect that fills me with particular pride is that many of our EMBA graduates have gone on to become leaders in many renowed companies and elite startups in the world. Today, I had the privilege of reconnecting with a few such distinguished alumni – Dr. Rocky Cheng, the current CEO of Cyberport, and Nixon Chau, the Managing Director and General Manager of SenseTime Hong Kong, Susanna Chiu, the ED of Bonjour, Alan Lai , CEO of Pet Space Group, Jason W., COO of Modern Education, just name a few. Their success stories are a testament to the strength of our EMBA program.
Overall, this year’s CUHK EMBA Annual Conference was a wonderful opportunity to celebrate the achievements of our students, past and present, and to express my gratitude to all who have contributed to their growth and development especially our current and past EMBA directors, including Professor Andrew Yuen, Professor Andrew Chan and Professor Pong Yuen, Howard Lam.
It was a truly fulfilling day. Thanks for all who have been in the road of our 30 years of CUHK EMBA journey. See you next year.
