𝐖𝐞𝐥𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐂𝐢𝐭𝐲𝐔 𝐃𝐁𝐀 2024 𝐂𝐨𝐡𝐨𝐫𝐭 – 𝐎𝐮𝐫 𝐃𝐁𝐀 𝐋𝐞𝐠𝐞𝐧𝐝 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐮𝐞𝐬
Welcome to our CityU DBA 2024 Cohort tonight, joined by many alumni and current learning partners! I vividly remember attending the same welcome party back in 2008 when I embarked on my DBA journey. Gosh, 16 years have flown by! I’m deeply grateful that the new generation continues to uphold our DBA legend.
When I first started, we had no DBA graduates yet since it was only the third year of the program. The learning partners from the 1st cohort kindly initiated a group called the DBA Community (DBAC) to support us. Heartfelt thanks to our learning partners of the Cohort 2006. Fast forward 18 years, and we now have 146 graduates!
I’m honored to be elected as the Chairman of the DBAC. Together with our ExCo members and the support from Dean Professor Kalok Chan, Professor Muammer Ozer and Grace Liang from our ARO, we aim to strengthen the bonds among our alumni and learning partners, support our current DBA learning partners for their study, contribute to our economy and society, and connect with broader groups of associations and networks.
We strongly believe, “𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐧𝐞𝐜𝐭, 𝐖𝐞 𝐆𝐫𝐨𝐰”. That is the belief of our CityUHK President Freddy Boey to grow our university through alumni – the most important asset of any successful university.
Looking forward to building our DBA Alumni Association and cultivating a vibrant, impactful, and warm community for our CityU DBA learning partners. Cheers to the future!
