I recently had the honor of joining three fellow AI experts, Prof. Andy Chun, Michael Yung and Dr. Charleston Sin, to share our views and advice on AI with the Senior Citizen Home Safety Association (SCHSA) for their โ€œCare on Callโ€ servicesโ€”also affectionately called the Safety Bell.

These services have supported countless elderly individuals and their families across Hong Kong during times of urgent need. I even had the privilege of capturing ๐š ๐ฉ๐ก๐จ๐ญ๐จ ๐ฌ๐ก๐จ๐ฐ๐œ๐š๐ฌ๐ข๐ง๐  ๐š๐ฅ๐ฅ ๐ ๐ž๐ง๐ž๐ซ๐š๐ญ๐ข๐จ๐ง๐ฌ ๐จ๐Ÿ ๐ญ๐ก๐ž ๐’๐š๐Ÿ๐ž๐ญ๐ฒ ๐๐ž๐ฅ๐ฅ ๐ฌ๐ข๐ง๐œ๐ž ๐๐š๐ฒ ๐จ๐ง๐žโ€”๐š ๐ฏ๐ข๐ฌ๐ฎ๐š๐ฅ ๐ฃ๐จ๐ฎ๐ซ๐ง๐ž๐ฒ ๐จ๐Ÿ ๐ข๐ฆ๐ฉ๐š๐œ๐ญ ๐š๐ง๐ ๐œ๐š๐ซ๐ž. What a powerful reminder of commitment to our community. I truly appreciate what they have done for Hong Kong including my own families and friends.

The ripple effect is real: an AI-enabled mindset empowers people to solve everyday problems in meaningful ways.

I encouraged SCHSA to take a holistic look at the elderly care journeyโ€”identifying pain points, building use cases, and fostering ecosystem collaborationโ€”to move beyond emergency calls and toward holistic physical and mental well-being.
