Huawei: Being Invited to Visit Huawei Headquarters in Shenzhen

Grateful to have participated the 8th Huawei ICT Competition Global Final last week. More here https://lnkd.in/g3B6mzV4. Right after that, I was honored to have had the privilege of visiting Huawei Huawei headquarters in Shenzhen, accompanied by a few experts from other countries. I met new good friends like ๐—–๐—ต๐—ฎ๐—ฟ๐—น๐—ถ๐—ฒ ๐—›๐—ฎ๐—ฟ๐˜๐—ผ๐—ป๐—ผ, Arwa Alhamad, Fatemah Alharbi and more. This was a valuable opportunity and an eye-opening experience. We all learned a great deal during our visit.

We were introduced to Huawei’s leading-edge innovations and technologies in the areas of cloud and edge computing, 5G/5G-A/6G networks, AI and GenAI, storage and more. The most memorable part for me was the visit to their Cloud and AI experience center, which showcased numerous technologies and use cases powered by their Pangu (็›คๅค) large language model (LLM). There are many applications of Pangu in various industries. For instance, the Hong Kong Observatory has adopted Huawei Cloud Pangu-Weather Model to enhance the contents of the โ€œEarth Weatherโ€ website by extending the forecast period of computer model weather forecasts from ten to fifteen days to let users appreciate potential changes in weather in advance. We also had the opportunity to tour the Huawei headquarters. The staff areas were beautifully designed, with nice coffee shops, libraries, delicious restaurants, and a general sense of thoughtful interior design throughout the floors and offices.

I am truly grateful to Huawei’s team for hosting us and providing this invaluable experience. Look forward to visiting you again soon with our friends and partners. Thank you.
