𝐅𝐫𝐨𝐦 𝐋𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐭𝐨 𝐒𝐤𝐲: 𝐂𝐔𝐇𝐊 𝐄𝐌𝐁𝐀’𝐬 𝐓𝐞𝐜𝐡 𝐀𝐝𝐯𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞 𝐢𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐆𝐁𝐀

“𝐒𝐞𝐞𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐢𝐬 𝐛𝐞𝐥𝐢𝐞𝐯𝐢𝐧𝐠” 𝐜𝐨𝐮𝐥𝐝𝐧’𝐭 𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐫𝐮𝐞𝐫! I had the privilege of leading a delegation of our CUHK EMBA students on an eye-opening journey to the Greater Bay Area (GBA), where technology and innovation are reshaping the world. From land to sky, and sky to sea, we witnessed firsthand how AI is transforming both work and life.

Our students didn’t just observe—they actively engaged with cutting-edge technologies and explored how innovation, leadership, and strategic business models come to life. Here’s a glimpse of what we experienced:

𝐓𝐞𝐜𝐡 𝐆𝐢𝐚𝐧𝐭𝐬 𝐋𝐞𝐚𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐖𝐚𝐲
– 𝐓𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞𝐧𝐭 wowed us with their mastery of customer experience, showcasing innovative tech alongside impactful storytelling in their demo tours.
– 𝐁𝐚𝐢𝐝𝐮 introduced their cutting-edge autopilot platform, Ernie LLM, and insights into data asset monetization.
– 𝐇𝐮𝐚𝐰𝐞𝐢 impressed us with their ecosystem of research labs, startups, and incubators within their European-style Huawei Campus.

𝐀𝐮𝐭𝐨𝐧𝐨𝐦𝐨𝐮𝐬 𝐕𝐞𝐡𝐢𝐜𝐥𝐞𝐬: 𝐋𝐚𝐧𝐝, 𝐒𝐤𝐲, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐒𝐞𝐚
– 𝐏𝐨𝐧𝐲.𝐀𝐈 gave us a thrilling robotaxi ride in Nansha.
– 𝐞𝐇𝐚𝐧𝐠 introduced us to their unmanned aerial vehicles (UAV) capable of transporting people without pilots.
– 𝐆𝐮𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐳𝐡𝐨𝐮 𝐏𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐚𝐨 𝐋𝐞𝐚𝐝𝐞𝐫 𝐓𝐞𝐜𝐡𝐧𝐨𝐥𝐨𝐠𝐲 revealed the AI magic behind unmanned marine vehicles.

The GBA stands out as one of the world’s top hubs for hardware innovation, thanks to its unrivaled electronic supply chain. We explored premier innovation spaces like:
– 𝐢𝐌𝐚𝐤𝐞𝐫𝐛𝐚𝐬𝐞, 𝐒𝐨𝐧𝐠𝐬𝐡𝐚𝐧 𝐋𝐚𝐤𝐞 Innovation and Entrepreneurship Community and 𝐆𝐮𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐳𝐡𝐨𝐮 𝐇𝐊𝐔𝐒𝐓 𝐅𝐨𝐤 𝐘𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐓𝐮𝐧𝐠 𝐑𝐞𝐬𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐜𝐡 𝐈𝐧𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐭𝐮𝐭𝐞

This study tour was more than a trip—it was a lifelong journey into the future of technology and collaboration. I hope this experience sparks our students’ interest in leveraging the GBA ecosystem for their businesses and operations. Here’s to the limitless potential of the GBA and its incredible tech talent!
