BLUE: Digital Leadership
I had the opportunity to share my experience on innovation with Blue Insurance Hong Kong #BLUE, one of the leading digital insurers in Hong Kong, and I was honored to be invited by Charles Hung, the CEO of BLUE Hong Kong. Thanks for Kam To, Monique Fung and their teammates for arranging and joining the session.
As BLUE has been innovating in the InsurTech space and Charles is a digital-savvy leader, I provided some thoughts on how they can continue to innovate even better. The key theme of my sharing was Digital Leadership – empowering everyone at all levels to seize opportunities in the new economy, which aligned with Charles’ approach of empowering everyone in the organization to innovate.
Rather than simply telling the participants what to do, I designed my sharing around several areas and asked thought-provoking questions to encourage deep thinking.
For example, I asked about the importance of benchmarking with companies outside of their industry. Another key question was how to unleash the power of #data in every corner of their company, even if they are not data scientists or IT experts. 
I also asked if their innovation is customer-centric enough and how they can build and sustain a culture of digital leadership in their company.
Finally, I asked how they can turn the threats of emerging technology and business models into opportunities.
Overall, my goal was to empower and lead the participants to think deeply about their innovation strategies and how they can continue to innovate in the ever-evolving digital landscape. I am happy to share more and learn together.
