I had an incredible panel discussion with our renowned speakers, diving deep into the technology, business, and human aspects of applying AI and GenAI to IT operations. A robust, high-performing and secure IT system matters the most not just to IT folks but also businesses relying on them. A heartfelt thanks to our panel speakers including Dr. Andy L. HKExpress, Allan Wong BUHK and Percy Lau AiFin and Jerry Hui Zhu IBM. Thanks to our DaLa members and guests for joining our seminar. It made a lot of difference with your proactive participation.

During the forum, we conducted a poll to identify the major challenges in AIOps projects. A significant 68% of the audience pointed to business justification as the top challenge, a sentiment echoed by our panel speakers. It’s crucial to effectively communicate with senior management to secure their buy-in and support. However, explaining all the technical issues and risks to top management can be challenging.

We need to leverage data, and use visualization and narrative to communicate effectively to different layers of stakeholders. This is why DALA – Data & AI Literacy Association DaLa aims to empower everyone with these mindset and skillset, which we call Data Literacy. Join us to become our DaLa members and learn together in the AI Era www.dalahk.org.

A special appreciation to Mimi Poon General Manager of IBM HK, along with her teammates Dr. Michael Kwok, Ph.D. from IBM Canada, Jerry Hui Zhu from IBM BJ, Angel Chan from IBM HK and many other IBMers for their support to our joint forum. The teamwork of “DaLa * IBM” co-created an amazing platform for all of us to learn about the AI advancement. Our collaboration will continue.

I also appreciate our DaLa founding fellows Ravel Lai, Andy Kwok, Dr. Jacob Wai, Elaine Wang, Tim Chan, MBA, 鄭嘉泓 for their presence and support in our forum and thank our DaLa Secretariat teams for their marvelous effort behind the scene. Together, we created another successful forum.

Looking forward to seeing and collaborating with you all in our data journey. Cheers!
